Satellite Communication. Uses of Satellite Communication.

Satellite Communication:

Satellite Communication is a space station that receives microwave signals from earth-based station. It amplifies the signals and re-transmit them back to different earth-based stations. The satellite communication is placed 22,300 miles above the earth.
The transmission of data is very high. However, bad weather can affect the quality of satellite transmission.

Satellite 

Uplink:

The transmission from satellite to earth-based station to satellite is called uplink

Downlink:
The transmission from satellite to earth-based station is called downlink.

Uses of Satellite Communication:

Satellite Communication is used in different applications such as: 


  1. Television and radio broadcast
  2. Weather forecasting
  3. Global positing system
  4. Internet connections
